I am a mother, wife, homeschooler, islander; 5th generation. I love old photos, and happen to be fortunate enough to be a caretaker of a treasure trove of ones related to the people and places of the islands. They were tucked away in a shed, untouched for 34 years. Luckily preserved, until the day when my husband and I uncovered them. This is their story. Their time to be seen by more than just a select few. I welcome you to view them, think about those in them, wonder what life was like back then, here on this island. If you can name some of the faces that I cannot, by all means don't hesitate to let me know...labeling them is a part of the reason I wanted to do this; it's a part of keeping their history alive.
